March 25, 2022 The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is expected to announce an appeal opportunity for providers who are out of compliance with the PRF Terms and Conditions for due to missing the filing limit for Reportign Period 1, due 9/30/21, with an extension to 11/30/21. This reporting requirement affected practices who received HHS Stimulus money of $10,000 or more during the period 4/10/20 – 6/30/20. Demand letters have been sent to medical providers who received more than $10,000 and who did not file their report. These demand letters requested providers return the money received within 30 days of the date on the letter. In speaking with the HRSA office today, they have informed us that they are reevaluating, including possibly offering an appeal process. They are advising providers to hold on returning the money requested and to check the HRSA website frequently for update releases.
