We are looking for a person with executive presence with strong knowledge and understanding of auditing standards, financial statement preparation and disclosure experience. Not-for-profit (including yellow book), government contracting, construction and real estate are all positive factors. Knowledge of SOC audits or other IT considerations in the changing landscape of auditing would be a bonus. Description of Duties Final / technical review of audits and other financial statement engagements Effectively research and handle technical matters Ensure that the audit team accurately and appropriately documents engagement files and prepares financial statements in accordance with all appropriate standards. Ultimate responsibility for proper planning of engagements, review of work papers to ensure documentation requirements and technical considerations Foster client relations Qualifications Applicants must possess a CPA License along with at least 12 years’ experience. Strong technical skills required. Must possess sharp analytical skills, strong communication skills including the ability to effectively present information and respond to clients needs. Requires ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations. Must have experience using online audit research resources, understanding of the research process, and applying audit efficiency consulting techniques. CaseWare experience is a plus.
