HHS Extended Application Deadline, HHS Relief Funds for Providers

UPDATE!
You Have Until Aug. 3rd

to Apply for Funding

In June, the Department of Health and Human Services announced a third wave of available funding for Medicaid and CHIP participating providers. These funds were created to provide financial relief for pediatricians, obstetrician-gynecologists, dentists, opioid treatment and behavioral health providers, assisted living facilities and other home and community-based services providers serving Medicaid and CHIP beneficiaries.

WHAT’S NEW
HHS has extended the deadline for eligible Medicaid and CHIP providers to submit their application to Monday, August 3rd. If you would like more information about the Medicaid and CHIP distribution, please visit HHS’ Cares Act Provider Relief Fund page, click here.

Dental Provider Distribution
Earlier this month HHS announced funding for dental providers who may not bill Medicare or Medicaid. HHS has developed a curated list of dental practice TIN’s from third party sources and HHS datasets. Providers with TINs on the curated list must meet other eligibility requirements including operating in good standing and not be excluded from receiving federal payments. There has been conflicting information regarding the application due date for non-participating dental providers. If you are interested in applying for the dental provider distribution, we recommend submitting your application by 7/24.   For more information about the dental distribution please click here.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
To apply for the Medicaid, CHIP and Dental Relief Programs please visit the Enhanced Provider Portal at https://cares.linkhealth.com/#/

If you are a Medicaid provider and received funds from the General Distribution, we urge you to discuss and review your options. There is information within the attestation portal (found at: https://covid19.linkhealth.com/#/step/1) which gives applicants the opportunity to reject/return received funds and retract your attestation by calling the provider support line at (866) 569-3522; for TTY dial 711.
