Background & Experience

Kent Thomas, was previously a Director with KatzAbosch. He joined the firm in 1984. He was the co-founder of the Construction Services Group and has provided accounting and tax services to contractors and construction firms for more than 20 years. He also worked with closely-held businesses in the distribution and transportation sectors. For many years, Kent specialized in delivering cost segregation services to clients and spoke regularly on these topics at national trade conventions and conferences. A dedicated professional, Kent holds the prestigious distinction of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP), a certification held by less than 40 professionals in Maryland and less than 1,000 professionals in the United States. He is also a certified construction auditor (CCA). The National Association of Construction Auditors sponsors this nationally recognized certification. In his current role, Kent continues his client advisory focused on complex engagements and consulting on special projects for the firm.
