KatzAbosch is proud to announce that Nate O’Brien, CVA, CEPA, Senior Manager of Business Valuations, recently earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation, one of the world’s most widely accepted professional exit planning certifications.

Established by the Exit Planning Institute, the CEPA Credentialing Program is a weeklong executive MBA-style program taught by a faculty of industry experts. To receive the CEPA credential, participants must complete the CEPA program and pass the closed-book proctored exam. The CEPA program equips advisors with the tools, training, and strategic frameworks necessary to guide business owners through the complex process of exit planning, value growth, and transition readiness.

“Once I’ve reviewed the results of a valuation with a client, especially if it is their first time going through a valuation exercise, a common next question is ‘now what?’ I pursued the CEPA designation because I want to be there for my clients beyond the valuation. Utilizing the CEPA framework, I’m now better equipped to assist clients with the ‘now what?’ by helping clients use the initial valuation as a roadmap to build transferrable value, reduce organizational risk, and become prepared for a successful exit at the right time, to the right successor, and in a way that balances both personal and business goals.”
