KatzAbosch Raises $7k for March of Dimes

KatzAbosch was excited to once again support the March of Dimes’ “March for Babies”, which took place on April 23, 2016 at M&T Bank Stadium.  KatzAbosch was part of the nearly 3 million participants nationwide who marched to raise funds for programs that support the nearly half a million babies born too soon each year in the United States, as well as for research programs that strive to find solutions to the problems that threaten babies, including helping moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies.

Harnessing the power of the competitive spirit, KatzAbosch split its employees into fundraising teams, pushing each other to raise the most funds, and striving to reach team fundraising goals.  The firm has provided incentives of additional time off, tickets to an Orioles game, and even provided their own matching contribution to also drive employees to give.  It appears like the formula of competition + accountants worked. KatzAbosch raised approximately $7,000, placing the firm as a top fifteen team contributor for the Greater Baltimore region of the March of Dimes.

“It was great to see KatzAbosch come together as a firm to contribute towards a greater cause,” exclaimed Timothy Redmond, a Manager with KatzAbosch who coordinates the firm’s involvement in the March for Babies, along with Shareholder Kristin Hucht.  Kristin, who is a Board Member for the Greater Baltimore region of the March of Dimes, commented, “It has really been great to see KatzAbosch stand behind, and even energize, our efforts towards making a difference in the local community.”
