KatzAbosch on the March for Babies this Mother’s Day Weekend May 4, 2015KatzAbosch is excited to once again support the March for Dimes’ March for Babies, joining the nearly 3 million participants nationwide marching to raise funds for programs that support the nearly half a million babies born too soon each year in the United States, as well as the research programs that strive to find solutions to the problems that threaten babies, including helping moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies.KatzAbosch employees will be joining others around central Maryland for the March of Dimes Central Maryland Division’s walk scheduled for May 9, 2015 at Hunt Valley Towne Center, and have been furiously attempting to raise money to surpass last year’s fundraising total of over $4,000. “Last year’s efforts ranked us as a top ten corporate contributor in central Maryland, says Timothy Redmond, a Manager with KatzAbosch, who along with Principal Kristin Hucht coordinate the firms involvement in the March for Babies, “and we pushed ourselves this year to raise even more knowing that every additional dollar raised goes a long way towards helping babies born in central Maryland.”Harnessing the power of the competitive spirit, KatzAbosch has split its employees into fundraising teams, pushing each other to raise the most funds, and striving to reach the team fundraising goals. The firm has provided incentives of additional time off, tickets to an Orioles game, and even provided their own matching contribution to also push employees to give. “It has really been great to see KatzAbosch stand behind, and even push, our efforts towards making a difference in the local community”, added Kristin. The March for Dimes March for Babies started in 1970 and since that time has raised over $2.3 billon to benefit all babies.
