KatzAbosch is seeking a well-rounded Supervisor with experience.  We are looking for a person who has an understanding of auditing standards, financial statement preparation and disclosure experience as well as business tax preparation and review skills.  This person must be able to determine assignment priorities including making budgets and meeting deadlines. Act as a trainer and evaluator to KatzAbosch staff and seniors regarding both technical and “soft skills”, while working independently to complete challenging assignments and identify significant issues requiring consultation. Government contracting, construction and real estate experience are positives.

Description of Duties

  • Assist managers and partners in leading complex engagements in the field
  • Properly plan an engagements, review accounting work papers to ensure documentation requirements and technical considerations are completed
  • Handle technical audit and accounting matters
  • Assistance with business tax matters and tax return review
  • Foster client relations
  • Ensure budgets are properly prepared and analyzed
  • Ensure that client files are accurate and appropriately documented and financial statements are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Supervise staff  of 1 to 3 people and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the firm’s policies


Applicants must possess a BS degree in Accounting from an accredited University and currently hold CPA License along with at least 4 to 6 years’ experience.  Must possess sharp analytical skills, strong communication skills including the ability to effectively present information and respond to client’s needs. Ability to plan, organize and run multiple engagements simultaneously.  Possess ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations.  Must have the ability to communicate both verbally and written, be technically competent, self-motivated and able to anticipate needs of clients, etc.  Must have experience using online research resources, understanding of the research process, and applying audit efficiency consulting techniques.  Caseware and Prosystem experience is a plus.
